RIZIA MYRRH RAMORAN LACAYA
YOUNG AMERICAN PRE-TEEN MISS ILLINOIS 2009

Schaumburg, IL- November 8, 2009- Rizia Myrrh Ramoran Lacaya was crowned as the 2009 Young American Pre-Teen Miss Illinois at Marriott Hotel in Schaumburg, IL. The 12-year old teen hails from Dipolog City, Philippines. She is the eldest daughter of Regil Philip Lee Lacaya and Maricor Cuenca Ramoran. For the first time ever, a Filipina beauty (and a Dipolognon, as well) won the title.

Throughout the long-day event, the contestants competed in 2 categories: evening gown/formal wear and patriotic wear. They were also pre-judged in their paricipation to community service, the way they answered the set of questions in writing and the Miss Photogenic. Out of the 4 minor awards, Rizia got 3- Best in Application, Best in Patriotic Wear and Miss Photogenic.

Rizia is in 7th grade at Wilkins Junior High School and she is in the High Honors list. She plays the clarinet, member of the poms/dance team in school and currently a 3rd degree orange belter in Kenpo Karate. Rizia loves Dipolog City and proud to be a Filipino- and by showing so- she speaks Bisaya so fluently.
