Brief Personal Profile of
NENITA B. LACAYA

Nenita Bermudez Lacaya, having been born in Sindangan on February 2, 1936, is a 67-year-old veteran in the field of politics for being the wife of former Governor of the Province of Zamboanga del Norte, Virginio B. Lacaya. Furthermore, she was also a provincial Board Member of the province from 1992 to 2001.

She took her primary education at Sindangan Central School in 1944 to 1950 and proceeded to Sindangan High School finishing up with the batch of 1953. She then took her Pre-Dental Degree Course at the University of San Carlos in Cebu from 1953 to 1955 but then decided to pursue her course until she graduated at the Southwestern University and became a registered Dentist in the year 1960 with a 75% rating. Her Doctors Degree in Dental Medicine, which she took at the University of the East in Manila, she took from 1957 to 1959. 

Her service record in the field of dentistry involves her being the Chief Dentist of the Dipolog Medical Center in the year 1992 as well as the Zamboanga del Norte Electric Cooperative (ZANECO) in 1992.

She and her family, Mary Carmel, Louis Felipe, Victor Thomas, lives in the Governor’s Village neighborhood in Barangay Estaka.
