Brief Personal Profile of
PETER Y. CO

Atty. Peter Y. Co was elected to his first term on the City Council in 2001. But Dipolog City residents previously knew him from his years as Court Interpreter of the City Court of Dipolog and as Branch Clerk of Court of the Regional Trial Court of Dipolog City. He stills an Editor –Publisher of the New Nandau Today, and he was Commissioner for Bar Discipline of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines.  

He was the former President of Dipolog Jaycees, Inc., Zamboanga del Norte Press Club, Inc., Integrated Bar of the Philippines, Zamboanga del Norte Chapter and Dipolog Pangadlaw Jaycees. And was also elected as National Vice-President of Philippine Junior Jaycees. He was the chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dipolog City Water District and People’s Law Enforcement Board [PLEB] in Dipolog City, tasked to hear and decide over all cases against police officers and members.

 Atty. Co is married to Estrella Oropesa Gayapa and they are gifted with five children.
