Brief Personal Profile of
RAUL CUENCA BARBASO

Raul Cuenca Barbaso is not only a politician, but also a civil engineer and a lawyer of top caliber. He passed his Civil Engineering Board examination in the year 1988 with a passing rate of 76 and he also passed the 1996 Bar Examination with an average of 77.98.

Before his election, Raul, age 38, works as a Resident Inspector of the Department of Pubic Works and Highways. He was elected as City Councilor after the May 14, 2001 local elections.

Raul is very committed in community involvement and is also dedicated to improving Dipolog City. Raul grew up in the Poblacion area of Dipolog and graduated from the University of San Jose – Recoletos with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering in 1987. He took his Bachelor of Laws degree in Andres Bonifacio College from 1992 to1996.

He and his wife, Angela, and their son Pierre Angeli, 2, live in the Velasco Street locality.
